While definitely not a full-time online player, IG0tDibs has had some moderate success at online tournament poker. On Sunday that "moderate success" became a lot more immoderate as he placed first in the weekly $1 million guaranteed event at PokerStars.com. "downosaur" finished seconnd and the third spot went to "Roberta114". 6,543 entrants plopped down the $215 entry fee, pushing the total prize pool to a tidy $1,308,600.
Take a look at the results at OfficialPokerRankings for "ael1979" and you can see that he/she is an excellent player - more evidence came on Sunday as they won the "Sunday Warm-Up" ($215 buy-in, $400,000 guarantee). BOKPOWER continued to show strength in upper-level tournaments, finishing second in the event.
18,524 signed on for this week's edition of the "Sunday Hundred Grand" tournament ($11 buy-in with a meaningless $100,000 guarantee). "mk12lt" hadn't had much to show for his online poker career until taking down first place on Sunday. It's a perfect example of how getting lucky on a single day can go a long way toward improving that ROI. Also coming from the less-successful sectors of the poker world were "UsedTa" (second place), "magicmeess" (third), "Insnow" (fourth), and "concretemike" (sixth). A ridiculous 3000 places get paid in this monster weekly tournament.
