just what the title says
For most of us (without enormous bankrolls) tournaments are our best hope for significant payoffs. But you're not likely to reach that kind of goal without plenty of study and practice. You can look elsewhere on AlphaPlayers.com for ways to practice and you can get a copy of David Sklansky's "Tournament Poker for Advanced Players" for the required studying.
This book is intended for those who already know how to play poker (it's fairly generic as to the type of poker, although the emphasis is on Hold 'Em and Stud). An early chaper on "How Poker Tournaments Are Different" provides an outline of 10 major differences between tournament play and cash or ring games (and the reasons for reading the book).
